Inspired by “Itsrainingcoats”, a voluntary organization in Singapore, Sivantos employee Priya Madan Mohan initiated the gifts-for-migrant-workers drive. The idea was well received, and she quickly had the support of our management, the finance team & team members from all the other functions.

Priya’s idea exceeded all expectations. More than 100 of our colleagues in Singapore donated 450 gifts ranging from toiletries, chocolates & food items, clothes, backpacks, raincoats and gift vouchers. Not necessary to mention that they made sure to only accept gifts in good condition. The finance team worked extra hours co-ordinating the gift collection, sorting and wrapping the gifts. On 17th December the gifts were distributed at the Tanjong Rhu MRT construction site by volunteers from different functions in Sivantos.

“I feel blessed and grateful that my wish to support a cause and make a difference together with my team came true. The response of Sivantos employees has been overwhelming. I had a goal of 100 gifts and we ended up at 450! A perfect start to the Christmas season,” Priya added.
