With the support of the China rehabilitation research center for hearing and speech impairment, Sivantos China donated RMB 2,000,000 (295,000 USD) for education of over 200 children under the age of six with hearing loss. The children came from seven provinces across China, including Hebei, Ningxia, Shanxi, Sichuan, Henan, Anhui, and Guangxi.

The kids who received the donation are from families who can’t afford the costs of a professional hearing and speech rehabilitation training. The donation from Sivantos China enables them to have access to this special education and support: from the very first fitting to going back to studying with their peers at school.

Parents have been very grateful for the “Signia Colorful Sound” charity program. The program was set up in 2006 as a cooperation between Sivantos and the China Foundation for Disabled Persons (CFDP), the largest Chinese welfare foundation for disabled people.
